Kristen Patschke Clark was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 2, 1974. She grew up in Knoxville where she attended the Karns Schools. During high school she was active in band and drama. She played French Horn with the Knoxville Community Recreational Band. In 1993 she started her first year at Tennessee Technological University as a French major. Quickly realizing the error in her ways, she switched to English and Secondary Education English. She continued playing the French Horn while playing in the marching and concert bands. While at TTU she was active in drama through her membership in the Tech Players where she served as president.  She was stage manager, house manager, and business manager of the various plays performed by the organization during her 5 years.

Kristen graduated from TTU with a B.A. in English in December 1997 and a B.S. in Secondary Education English in May 1998. She is currently the librarian at Sequoyah Elementary and recently earned her Masters in Information Science at the University of Tennessee.

Kristen loves working as a youth counselor with Rick for their church youth group.  This is her third year with the group.  =)

Kristen loves collecting Hello Kitty, anime, manga, Cherry Ames books, and beanies.  She enjoys reading young adult and children's literature more than adult literature.  She designs webpages during her spare time and distributes fansubs to members of anime fandom.
